Why Kidnapped?

Kid ‘nap’ (dictionary definition): to snatch; to seize and to hold (a person) by force or fraud, as for ransom…..That does kind of fit for cancer.  I heard this phrase in a writing class for cancer survivors.  It really hit for me. A classmate stated that everyone uses the term “journey”, but a journey is something you choose or plan to go on.  No one ever chooses or plans to have cancer, so kidnap works for me.

I decided to write this blog to share my experiences good, bad, funny (after the fact) and not.  So let me begin by telling you a little bit more about myself.
